  • Latest News…Manuel Pellegrini has ruled out midfielder Fernando Reges after the Brazilian was subbed off against Stoke with a groin problem. Stevan Jovetic will also miss the Emirates trip with a hamstring injury. Sergio Aguero was handed his first start in the loss to Stoke and is set to partner Edin Dzeko in attack, while Fernandinho will likely come into central midfield to replace compatriot Fernando. Alternatively, Pellegrini could opt to play Aguero as the lone striker – this would likely see David Silva “in the hole”, with Jesus Navas drafted out wide. Frank Lampard available and offers another option in central midfield. At the back, Pellegrini could once again rotate, with Gael Clichy and Aleks Kolarov vying for the left-back role. On the right, Pablo Zabaleta has recovered from a knock sustained in the midweek internationals. Eliaquim Mangala is available but remains unlikely to start as he builds up his match fitness – this should see Martin Demichelis continue alongside Vincent Kompany at centre-back.

  • Latest News…Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will be assessed after an ankle injury sustained on international duty with Wales but could remain in contention. Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny have both been passed fit following ankle and head injuries suffered in the stalemate with Leicester last time out. Kieran Gibbs has also overcome a hamstring problem and could take the place of Nacho Monreal at left-back. Mikel Arteta has also been passed fit and could make his return in front of the back four, at the expense of Mathieu Flamini. Further forward, new signing Danny Welbeck is likely to be given his debut and lead the line, with Alexis Sanchez remaining on the flank. Elsewhere in midfield, Jack Wilshere will be pressing for a recall and could come in at the expense of Santi Cazorla, should Wenger decide to rotate. Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry all remain sidelined through injury.
